Arabian Adventure - Day Six Part 2
During the evening of our last day (sniff, sniff) we took another organized tour of off-roading in the sand dunes (AWESOME) followed by a traditional dinner. The off-roading is not for the faint of heart but if you love that sort of stuff, it is AWESOME. It felt like we were going to roll over about twenty times! We had a couple older ladies in the car that couldn't handle the real crazy stuff. So my advice, if you're ever in this situation, is to find the youngest, craziest group of people to ride with! :)

The desert was amazing -- like nothing I have ever seen before!

We stopped to witness some camel milking! We later had some at dinner....weird. Just weird.

The baby is like HEYGUYS, that is my milk!

LOOK at those little babies, so cute!

We finally arrived at a 'camp' for an event-filled dinner! After learning about falconery earlier in the week I just about died when I found out I could meet a falcon. Amazing creatures!

Camel rides were also available but we opted out -- I feel too bad for the camels to do that! We tried our first Arabian dates and coffee, yum!

The camp was set up like a traditional arabian camp (Slightly modified I am sure!). This area was for hooka! I think a lot of people think its marijuana so they were afraid to try -- more for us!

The dinner was great too -- lots of YUMMY vegetarian options. All you can drink beer and wine was nice too :)

They had many, many activities going on -- belly dancing (which isn't really traditional but they've given into the stereotype of Arabia and offer it), henna 'tattoos' and our selection --- photo styling in traditional clothing and settings! These crack me up!

Overall it was a fantastic way to end a trip of a lifetime. I'd highly recommend this trip to anyone! We have been to a lot of beautiful places but this ranks pretty close to the top for me. I was amazed by the beauty and culture and am thankful for the knowledge gained. Feel free to contact me if you are thinking about visiting the region and need any information!

Ahhh, the beautiful ninja pic just OWNS me! LOL I think Vinny would make an excellent sheik and you could totally pull off an Arabian princess.
Your trips. Swoon. I just want to be a mouse in your back pocket for all of your adventures.
Wow! What an awesome trip, Allison! That last picture makes me laugh- my husband is 1/2 Iraqi and I always tell him "it's all fun and games until you make me wear a burkha". Of course, he grew up Protestant, which is the only reason it's funny and not horribly insensitive. Wait, it still may be....oh well. ;) Thanks for featuring my blog on your blog roll- so glad I found your blog!
